The Sheffield Steelkings are a not-for-profit organisation! That means every penny we get, goes back into growing the club and developing our players. We are on a mission to shine a light on our sport and get as many people playing para ice hockey as we possibly can!
We consider ourselves a family orientated organisation, with members from many different backgrounds. We believe hockey is for everyone, and want to see as many people involved as we can.
Para ice hockey is a fast paced, highly skilled, physical, and highly competitive sport, with great links back to the community as well.
Unfortunately, the cost of getting a new member of the team onto the ice is over £1,000 due to the very
specialist equipment required to play our sport, and this is before the cost of ice rental for training and games.
This is why we are looking for individuals and businesses, to come on board with the Steelkings and to support

Your logo will be included on the Sheffield Steelkings website with a link to your own website, and our partnership would also be promoted through our social media channels.
Your logo will appear on all material produced for British League game fixture promotions, and you will be presented with your own customised Sheffield Steelkings jersey (produced with a name and number of your choice).
You and your colleagues would be invited to do a the ‘puck drop’ at the beginning of one of our British Para Ice Hockey League games, as well as presenting the ‘player of the game’ awards to both teams at the end.
The game will be announced as being sponsored by your company throughout the match and you would also
get to keep the official game puck from your puck drop presentation.

You will be presented with your own Sheffield Steelkings jersey which will be produced with
a name and number of your choice.
You and your colleagues would be invited to present the ‘Player of the Game’ awards at the end of one of our British Para Ice Hockey League games (or club exhibition games).
The winners would be selected by you and the presentations would be photographed and appear on our social media platforms. (These can be shared with you for your own promotion after publication).

The Kings Cup – Where we ‘Defend The Kingdom‘ against foreign invaders!
Back in 2019 the Sheffield Steelkings hosted their first team from abroad when HCCA Dahu travelled from Clermont, France, for the first ever Kings Cup competition. A close fought battle between the two teams ended with a 3-2 win for the Steelkings, and the Kings Cup competition was born.
One year later and the competition grew to two days and from one competing team to three! With the Steelkings hosting a new French side, the Rouen Dragons, the Cardiff Huskies from Wales, and the newly created Steelkings development team.
Unfortunately, Covid19 stopped the Kings Cup from continuing. But when the world eventually returned to normal, a new competition was formed. The Northwest Europe Para Ice Hockey League saw the teams that couldn’t make it to Sheffield in 2020 face each other here instead.
However, in 2025 the Kings Cup returned for the first time in five years! Which saw Swedish club, ‘FIFH Malmo’ travel to Sheffield to face the Steelkings in a three day competition.
We now want to bring back the Kings Cup every year, and continue to bring tough international competition to Sheffield. You can help us achieve this by becoming our Kings Cup Title Sponsor!

NORTHWEST EUROPE PARA ICE HOCKEY LEAGUE

Away from the British Para Ice Hockey League and the Kings Cup, the Sheffield Steelkings also compete in the NEPIHL (Northwest Europe Para Ice Hockey League).
This annual event was formed following invites to the Steelkings Kings Cup tournament, in 2020. Though the European teams could not travel to Sheffield for the tournament, a suggestion was for those teams to host a new competition and for Sheffield to travel to them. The first NEPIHL competition was held in 2022 and the Steelkings have since won the title twice and hosted the competition in Sheffield in March 2025.
This cross European competition now sees teams from Britain, France, Finland, Netherlands and Belgium compete against each other for the NEPIHL title, with plans to expand the competition to more countries in the future.
The collective aim of the teams involved is to develop the sport of para ice hockey across Europe.

As a not-for-profit organisation, we want to emphisise that all the money we receive goes back into supporting the club and its members. This means we can keep our costs as low we can and continue to introduce the sport to as many people as possible.
With our senior team and development teams both now established, our next big mission is to work on developing a Sheffield Steelkings team for juniors.
